My thoughts on Idol Gives Back

Don't get me wrong. It's a good thing - asking everyone to donate something to help end world hunger. I get the idea - if everyone gives a little, we can raise a lot.

But it's a little lot unsettling to watch someone like Brad Pitt ask me to donate money. And Posh Spice. And so on and so on.

If every celebrity that climbed on that stage asking me, who probably makes a year what some of them make in a day, to donate money gave just a mere 1% of their income, we could probably wipe out world hunger.

The bad news: Michael Johns was sent packing. Ok, so I only watched one episode this year. But he seemed pretty cool. Sorry Michael! Remember, some of the best of the best have been eliminated early. *cough*Daughtry*cough

The good news: over $60 million was raised. So all in all, Idol Gives Back really is a good thing. Now if I can only get those images of Terri Hatcher singing a Carrie Underwood song out of my head...
