Keep Calm and Travel On

Well, I had an entire blog post written up earlier this morning and then somehow I lost it all! :( The old blogger format used to auto save, but I guess this one doesn't? BOO. What a waste of time. Anyhoo. Let me see if I can remember some of what I said...

My apologies for not doing a Savannah Half recap yet! My router at home broke and I have yet to replace it (from sheer laziness) and so I haven't been able to blog from home in months. And work has been very busy, so blogging at work has not been a possibility lately either. That equals no update from me! But I will try to rectify that soon. In the meantime, here is a snapshot of my recent travels! I've been a busy girl.

PS I have NO IDEA how these photos are going to line up. If it's a jumbled mess, I apologize.

Savannah Rock n Roll Half Marathon - just after crossing the finish line :)

Pretty downtown Savannah.

C and I at the start line.

Two weeks ago, I traveled to Orlando with a friend to visit her sister. We had a great time! We ate, we shopped, we saw Breaking Dawn (perhaps twice), we ate some more. A great time was had by all. And the weather was well, typical Florida! Hot and muggy! We loved it. This is a picture of me having a beverage at at a restaurant in downtown Celebration, FL. Can I move here? That place is ahhh-mazing. Seriously. Google it. You'll want to live there too.

This past week was Thanksgiving and I ate more than I want to talk about. UGH. Let's not talk about how much weight I have gained since the half marathon. It's not pretty! Moving on...

On Friday morning, my friends and I drove up to Blowing Rock, NC and spent a few nights in the beautiful mountains of NC. The place we stayed at is called Chetola Resort. This is our second annual girls trip, and we love it there! Last year, we went snow tubing. This year, it was too warm but we still had a blast. And of course right now the resort is completely decked out for the holidays. They even had horse carriage tours around the lake and photos with Santa if you were so inclined.

We drove up to Banner Elk on Saturday and visited a winery there. We had so much fun! NC wines are simply delicious.

I have a VERY special trip coming up in 2 weeks, and I can't wait to share it with you! I'll keep it a secret until then! :)

And finally, I'll leave you with a VERY random photo of me bowling. Just because I thought it was hilarious. What a pro...(not)

Tis the season to be crazy, y'all! Stay calm and watch lots of Christmas Vacation.

See ya on the flip side!

I'm off to beautiful Savannah, GA in the morning to join a gazillion other people running the Savannah Rock n Roll Marathon / Half Marathon. Thirteen Point One Miles...You will be MINE.

And if anyone personally knows Paula Deen, will you ask her to meet me at the finish line with a plate of biscuits and honey? Thanks y'aaaallllll!
