Just catchin' up...

Sorry for the lack of posts lately! I can honestly say life has been busy as a beaver. But it's been fun!

Last week, I spent a few days in beautiful Charleston for work. One night, one of our vendors took us out to dinner to Bowen's Island. If you ever spend any time in Charleston, and don't want to eat at some of those high-falutin', over-priced, over-hyped restaurants in downtown and want to get away from all the tourists, head over to Bowen's. Just dress casual and enjoy the beautiful views of the SC lowcountry. And if the owner Robert says local oysters are on the menu, and there's no "R" in the month, you can bet your ass they are still good and in season. Slurptastic!

When Friday came around I was ESPECIALLY happy because my long work week was over and I was headed to beautiful Kiawah for a girl's weekend that had been in the works for months! Had an amazing time and can't wait til we plan the next one. We had drinks and supper one night at the Ocean Course at Kiawah, and snuggled up on the joggling board for a pic. (I embarrassed my southern friends by asking "What's a joggling board?" but once I saw it, I remembered!)

Snuggle, snuggle!

Christina's mini icebox cakes that she just...oh you know...whipped up one night for us. No big deal.

My shell that I found on the beach. That I thought I lost but no worries. It was found. We never leave a man behind.

Thank you Crist for organizing and hosting all of us!

Happy Memorial Day weekend everyone! Do y'all have big plans? It's such a fun weekend and it means summer is coming! So many parties, cookouts, and delicious.summer.produce.is.coming! But hopefully we'll all take some time to remember the true meaning of Memorial Day... a day of remembering the men and women who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces.

I'll have to remember Bowens! I am from the South but had never seen or heard of a joggling board until visiting South Carolina.
It's a Carolina thing!
